The main reason why I chose this unorthodox thesis was the advisor. His corporate finance course last spring stands apart as my favorite economics course, and I trust his guidance in my thesis education. Also, I feel that it is beyond my means as an undergraduate to develop a meaningful, original thesis. I didn't want to do some variable A, variable B linear regression congratulations you just spent 60 pages on something that only needed 2 sort of project. My interests in economics are still diverse, and I didnt want to be confined to one area just yet. I figured I would learn the most under Ivo's approach. I really like that fact that in this project I will be working with peers on a consistent basis.

I want: a solid understanding of the application of the scientific method to economic research, a diverse knowlege of economics, and most importantly a website.

I hope to be an MD that also dabbles in entrepreneurship outside of my work. I hope to balance my work and life and hopefully not be defined by my career.

I like sports and travel, especially outside the US. I am in PLME too (combined undergraduate/medical school program). I like economics for its theory rather than its application. I never had any plans of Wall Street, although I am sure some of the information will come in handy down the line.
