1. For registration, which begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June
17, please go to Sayles Hall on the main college green (Brown
and Waterman St. or Brown and George St.); campus
map.
2. For your presentation, we will have overhead projectors and
data projectors. The data projectors have a connecting cable but
NOT a computer; if you want to use a data projector you will need
to bring your own laptop computer. To avoid technical problems
with this at the time of the session, you are strongly encouraged
to go to the room in which your session will take place 30 minutes
before the beginning of the session, and try the technical details
of your presentation then. There will be volunteers available
to help.
3. Wireless internet access will be available near the conference
site (you will be given a user name and password with your registration
package). These accounts will also allow you to access the internet
from the dorms or the Inn at Brown both of which are hard wired
with ethernet outlets, but you will need to bring your own ethernet
cable.
4. If you have been assigned to be a session chair, you will
note that, as a function of cancellations and alike, your session
may have two papers. All parallel sessions have been allocated
to 90 minute slots. Thus, if your session has only two papers,
it is up to you and the presenters to decide whether to give extra
time to each speaker and or discussion or finish the session early.
5. A limited number of tickets for the two excursions to Newport
(details are on the Registration page)
are still available, and tickets will be sold at the conference;
$25 each (cash or check).
